Urban Eateries guide to Fitzrovia


If you wander just North of Oxford Street, tucked away beside the wealth of Marylebone you'll find yourself centre stage in Fitzrovia, a thriving community best known for its contributions to the arts.Housing poets, musicians and designers including Saatchi & Saatchi X London Fitzrovia is the ideal place to mix business and pleasure with a good range of Michelin star and cheap eats which meant it was the perfect place to feature in our first every recommendations blog post!


Riding House Café 43 Great Titchfield Street, W1W 7PQ
 
The Riding house café offers an striking design fitting perfectly with the Fitzrovia theme. This all day brasserie on Titchfield Street provides the perfect range of light bites and fully loaded breakfasts to kick start your day. Our personal recommendation has got to be the Chorizo Hash, the perfect combo of roasted peppers, kale and fried eggs. 

The Breakfast Club 33 D'Arblay St, W1F 8EU

With 9 sites throughout London we knew this café meant business and they did not let us down. In their own words this ‘small but mighty’ site provides a range of hearty eats, great hospitality and award-winning cocktails.

Honey & Co 25 Warren St, W1T 5LZ

Honey & Co a quaint eatery run by an Israeli husband and wife team with a passion for good food.  Showcasing delicious food from the Middle East, providing table sharers, an extensive egg dish range and great cereal. Since opening customers have travelled from across London for a taste of the family run cafes food especially its weekend Big Breakfast menu.

Calcutta Street 29 Tottenham St, W1T 1RU

A new eatery by Shrimoyee arrived in London mid-last year. The Bengali Home Dining restaurant acclaimed for the kitchen being the beating heart behind it all pride themselves on providing seasonal British ingredients and imported spices to create food inspired largely by her family. Our recommendations here would certainly lie with the Chicken Reshmi Kebab and Musurir Daal.


Portand113 Great Portland St, W1W 6QQ

Portland is a Michelin star gem situated on Great Portland Street. Despite being small in size Portland offer a great range of food based on the very best produce they can find and cooked with ultimate care and attention to detail. Their wine list is reviewed each month and starting at £21 per bottle they can be no argument on value for money.

Patara 5A Berners Street, W1T 3L

Patara Berners Street screams culture with its ultra sleek Thai architecture and relaxing two floor dining area, the site manages to deliver an authenic yet contemporary environment perfectly fitting for Fitzrovia. Their Thai Curry is worth returning for again and again, and there is no question as to why these branches have a reputations for top quality cooking. If you're looking to delive into some traditional Thai classics or branch out and try some more exotic flavours then this is the eatery for you

Next time you find yourself lost in Fitzvoria make sure not only to take in some of the individual artwork this area has to offer but these great reasonably priced eat!
